East Midlands Railway is working together with its sandwich provider in order to raise funds for children’s , Meals and More this .

The campaign is called The Spirit of Christmas and will see the rail operator donate 25p to the charity for each Simply Lunch Vegan Festive Feast sandwich sold.

Meals and More is a charity with a focus on ending holiday hunger, as well as social isolation, which often impacts children who in term time have access to free school meals but in holiday periods can have inadequate food provision. The charity’s impressive work provides funding which supports holiday clubs throughout the country where children attending can enjoy nutritious food and social activities.

The campaign, which is also supported by well-known meat substitute manufacturer, Quorn, will have a significant positive impact on both the charity and the children it supports.
