British Transport Police Detectives have released CCTV images following a serious assault onboard a train took place on Friday the 3rd of November. The incident took place as a Manchester Piccadilly to Milton Keynes service pulled into Wolverhampton railway station and saw the victim, a man in his 30s punched in the as he left his seat to use the toilet. The victim was then pulled to the floor before being punched and kicked repeatedly by a number of individuals.
Once the train drew to a halt at Wolverhampton, the victim pressed the exit button and was able to drag himself off of the train onto the platform where he called for help whilst still being restrained and assaulted.
The men who took part in the assault tried to get back onboard the train however ended up leaving the station at Wolverhampton.
As a result of the attack, the victim has suffered substantial back injuries.
CCTV images were released on the 13th of November in an attempt to find anyone who recognises the men in the images as Detective believe that they may have information which will support the investigation.
