Every year, the North Yorkshire Moors Railway (NYMR)’s holds a Light Spectacular event in the autumn which always proves very popular, and will once again be enchanting participants this October and November.

This year’s event will be held from Friday, 27th October to Sunday, 5th November and again from Friday, 10th to Sunday, 12th November, with trains departing from Pickering at 6.00 pm and 7:45 pm each day.

A steam train adorned with 17,000 LEDs lights will add to the atmosphere as the whole family will be enthralled by an immersive audio and visual experience as they travel between Pickering and Levisham stations.

Before passengers board the train at Pickering, they are given a flashing wristband that will synchronise with the onboard lightshow and music, and is sure to have guests singing and dancing in their seats. As if that wasn’t enough, entertainment by the train’s onboard compere, TV’s ‘Voice Over Man’, will make sure that everyone is in the mood to party, from the moment they enter the platform, spot their train, and then climb on board to enjoy the evening’s events.

Tickets for this memorable steam train experience are now on sale at a cost of £25 per person, which includes an hour-long illuminated experience between Pickering and Levisham in the heart of the North Yorkshire Moors.
