Video: ‘Scream Trains’ to thrill passengers at East Lancashire Railway

East Railway in is to run its popular Halloween ‘Scream Trains’ again this year.

The heritage railway is inviting visitors to wear fancy dress and experience frightening features including:

  • walking through the ghoulishly decorated Bury footbridge
  • animatronic creeps and kooks
  • ‘ghostess with the mostess’ Bob the Zombie
  • Count Brian the Vampire
  • Dr Frankenburger
  • the singing, dancing ‘Skeletonettes’ on the platform!

Passengers will board the ghost train at Bury Bolton Street, and during the hour-plus journey will be entertained in Halloween style, including music and mischief! The Railway will give every child who attends a goody bag full of tricks and treats as a reward for helping the Monster Squad keep order and vanquish the ghoulies.

After the eighty-minute steam train ride from Bury to Irwell Vale and back, visitors can sample some fun, fear and frights hosted at the , which is located across the road from Bolton Street Station. The Carn-Evil includes unlimited theme park rides, a disco and a ‘spooktacular’ show included in the ticket price.

The Ghost Train will run from the Thursday 26 to Saturday 28 October. Tickets are available here, with prices starting from £15.50 for children ages 3-17, £22 for an adult, and £22 for an adult and child under the age of three attending together.

When booking, visitors have the option to add tickets to the Carn-Evil for a universal price of £9.50.
