British Transport Police has issued an image captured from CCTV as part of their investigation into an assault at Moor Street railway station in Birmingham.

The assault occurred on Monday, 18 September at around 9.40 am when a man tried to climb over the railings to avoid going through the barriers.

A member of staff challenged the man, who responded by spitting at the staff member and barging through the barriers before taking a drink from a WH Smith stall.

A member of the public tried to intervene but was kicked and punched, whilst the assailant threw a vape at a second member of the public causing a cut to her head.
