Great Western Railway (GWR) customers have a chance to win a First Class escape to the country for a two-night stay in a luxury hotel.

The lucky winner will be able to choose to stay at one of “THE PIG” unique and beautiful hotels, either at Combe near Honiton in Devon, at Harlyn Bay near Padstow in Cornwall, or at Pensford near Bath.

All hotels are located on Great Western’s network, and the competition is easy to enter on GWR.com, the GWR app, or on GWR’s Facebook, Instagram or X accounts.

The prize is for a relaxing, midweek stay for two people, and includes a three-course dinner, breakfast, a private wine tasting with the head sommelier, and a tour of the kitchen garden. To travel to the hotel, Great Western Railway is providing First Class tickets with complimentary refreshments on board and some of the best views from a train anywhere in the UK.

THE PIG is a group of boutique hotels that are effectively restaurants with rooms. Each hotel is nestled in gorgeous countryside, with everything centred around their kitchen gardens to create menus full of the freshest seasonal flavours. Anything that can’t be grown on-site is sourced from farmers, fishmongers and foragers within 25 miles of the hotel, so each hotel retains its sense of place.

Included in the prize is:

• a two-night midweek stay for two people (subject to availability) at either THE PIG at Harlyn Bay, Bath, or Combe;
  one three-course dinner for two people including a free bottle of wine;
• breakfast for two people on two mornings;
• one private wine tasting session for two people with the Head Sommelier;
• one private tour with the kitchen team of the Kitchen Garden;
• two Great Western Railway First Class anytime return tickets for travel on Great Western Railway services only.
