With Halloween just around the corner, Govia Thameslink Railway has a whole host of wonderfully spooky ways to make the most of the half-term break and has published a reimagined special edition route map called the ‘Trainsylvania’ Map which makes for a brilliant Halloween railway guide.
The special guide sees the rail operator highlight 10 pumpkin patches alongside 8 spooky stops across its network, making for some fabulously fun activities for the half term from picking a pumpkin or getting out and about at some spine-tingling destinations.
The spooky sites can be found on Thameslink, Great Northern and Southern networks from Cambridge and Peterborough to Brighton and Polegate, and a whole host of locations between, all of which are located within a short walk or taxi ride from a Govia Thameslink Railway station.
One location on the map is Brighton’s haunted West Pier with reports of sightings of a pale ghost or Tulley’s Farm in Crawley, which hosts a Pumpkin Festival unlike any other! The map offers lots for families to do, or why not enjoy some after-dark fun using the mystic map with friends?

“We know from Google trends analytics that searches for local pumpkin patches and haunted houses soar between 16 and 29 October, so we wanted to inspire our customers with a choice of destinations to visit this Halloween season, which are all easily reachable by train.”
