The well-loved heritage railway sees approximately 250,000 visitors each year and is run largely by its fantastic team of over 1,600 volunteers. The railway operates full-sized standard gauge locomotives and regularly runs steam and diesel trains across 16 miles of stunning scenery between Kidderminster and Bridgnorth with six beautifully maintained stations.
Lewis Maddox, Severn Valley Railway’s Visitor Engagement Manager, said “Our 16-mile line runs through some very spectacular scenery and the autumn colours really enhance that – it’s a wonderful time of year to spend a day on the train. Whether it’s rain or shine, there’s plenty to do.”
“The scavenger hunt will see children getting back to nature, to find acorns, pinecones and autumn leaves at stations along the line.”
