Today, Dovetail Games has officially released its latest generation of game in the Train Sim World franchise.
With a week of early access, today is the official general release, with Flying Scotsman being a big name at release, as well as the ECML: Doncaster – Peterborough route also featuring at launch.
Some great additions are also coming at launch, with the free roam mode already proving popular with early access players.
Also coming at launch is Metrolink F125, which will be able to be driven from Los Angeles to Lancaster, California as well as a new country – Austria. In Austria, you will be able to drive the S Bahn Vorarlberg Line through the Alps.
Finally, the hi-tech Vectron locomotive will arrive with an upgraded version of the Dresden – Riesa route.
Just Trains are also working on their new route: Blackpool to Ormskirk via Preston.

“We’re thrilled to bring these new playing experiences to Train Sim World fans. Free Roam has really got the community talking, with the potential to take their trains almost anywhere in a sandbox setting and seeing what players do with the improved creative tools will also be exciting to see. From easy-to-make custom liveries to complex gameplay elements in the PC Editor (beta), we’ve really focussed on bringing more creativity for both passionate railway hobbyists and casual simulation players.” – Executive Producer Matt Peddlesden.
