Detectives investigating a pair of robberies plus an attempted robbery in South London have issued images of two youths they believe could have information connected to the thefts.

A series of robberies took place on Thursday 27 June and, following the release of CCTV images, police have appealed to the public for any information which could the first boy’s phone  lead to the arrest of the suspects.

The first incident took place at around 16.00 on West Dulwich station.  A 14-year-old boy was approached by a pair of teenagers and they engaged in conversation.  The first boy was subsequently threatened with violence before the two other young men made off with his phone.

The same day, at 16.45, another 14-year-old boy boarded a train at Beckenham Junction and, five minutes later, was approached by the same two teenagers.  They were all seated in the middle of the train and, again, struck up a conversation. They two teenagers attempted to steal the first boy’s phone but, this time, they were unsuccessful.

The third crime took place at around 19.00 at Catford Bridge station. Another 14-year-old boy boarded a train which was bound for London Charing Cross.  The same two teenagers held their victims at the back of the train and threatened him with violence before snatching his phone.

Later that day, at around 7pm, another 14-year-old boy boarded a train at Catford Bridge station headed towards Charing Cross. The same two boys pinned their victim at the back of the train and stole his mobile phone after threatening him with violence.
