As autumn takes hold, the East Lancashire Railway makes its way into the final parts of its 2023 season, with its Autumn Diesel Gala taking place later this week on the 15th and 16th of September and the Autumn Steam Gala during October.
The latest Autumn Diesel Gala news sees Green Class 37, 37667 will be joining the array of amazing diesel locomotives at the Gala alongside Class 40, 40012 “Aureol”.
The event will see a fantastic array of heritage diesel locomotives and DMUs in action over the two-day Autumn Diesel Gala with an always popular, evening Beer-Ex taking place on both the 15th and 16th of September:
The Autumn Diesel Gala will include the following visiting locomotives:

The event will see a busy all-diesel timetable with a whopping 15 heritage diesel’s and 3 DMUs operating throughout the event, no doubt providing incredible ‘Bashing’ opportunities.
