Children from a primary school in Bradford in West Yorkshire have created an image out of mosaics that depict one of Northern‘s Class 195 trains.

The pupils that created the ‘first class’ mosaic are from Frizinghall Primary School, two miles north of Bradford city centre. When the students return in September they will see their mosaic taking pride of place in the school hall. A digital copy of their work will also be displayed at Frizinghall station.

Two years ago, the school pupils adopted their nearby Frizinghall station and regularly spend time in keeping it clean and tidy while at the same time learning about safety on the railway.

The partnership between the school and Frizinghall station was even recognised in OFSTED’s most recent inspection of Frizinghall Primary School.

“This mosaic serves as a testament to the power of collaboration and shared goals in making a real difference in people’s lives.”
