The Mid Hants Railway, which is also known as The Watercress Line, has announced that LNWR Coal Tank No. 1054 will be visiting them for their upcoming Autumn Steam Gala.
1054 will join the already announced visiting locos of 72 Fenchurch and 5239 Goliath, which are visiting thanks to the Bluebell Railway and Dartmouth Steam Railway respectively.
The Coal Tank is usually based at the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway at the Bahamas Locomotive Society‘s Ingrow West base.
1054 was built at Crewe Works in 1888 and was the 250th example of the class. It worked for 50 years hauling coal, goods and passenger services.
The locomotive is also due to visit the Crewe 180 exhibition this month as well as appear at the Blaenavon railway gala.
