The North Yorkshire Moors Railway has announced two more visiting steam locomotives for its upcoming 50th Anniversary Gala.
BR Standard 4 No. 75069 and Caledonian Railway 2P No. 55189 will be visiting for the gala thanks to the Severn Valley Railway and Scottish Railway Preservation Society respectively.
The gala will take place between the 21st and 24th September and will celebrate half a century of steam for the popular heritage railway, which runs between Pickering and Grosmont / Whitby.
The two latest visitors will join already announced BR Standard Class 9F No. 92214 and LNER A4 No. 60007 Sir Nigel Gresley
The visiting engines will join the home fleet of BR 9F No. 92134, SR Schools No. 926 ‘Repton’, LMS Black 5 No. 5428 ‘Eric Treacy’, No. 8 ‘Lucie’, BR Standard 4 No. 80136, J27 No. 65894 and No. 29 ‘Peggy’.
Ticket prices have also been announced, with a day ticket starting at £45, rising to £126 for a four day ticket.
