Further strikes by members of the RMT Union on Saturday, 26 August and Saturday, 2 September will result in significantly reduced services on East Midlands Railway’s (EMR).
As during previous strikes, customers should only attempt to travel by rail if absolutely necessary. East Midlands Railway services will only operate between 06.30 and 18:30, and the last services will depart between 15.00 and 16.30. On those routes where there are services, many of them will only have one train an hour.
On Sunday 27 August, there are engineering works on the East Coast Mainline which will result in East Midlands Railway Intercity and Connect services being very busy.
Customers wishing to travel to Skegness should continue to book their journey in advance, but if they have already booked and their train is cancelled, they will be able to use their ticket on an alternative service before or after the booked date.
The strike action will also affect services by other train operators, and there will be very limited train services running across the whole rail network.
If a customer s train is cancelled or delayed, or they decide not to travel because of the strikes, they can change their ticket to another date, or return them to where they purchased them for a full refund. They will not be charged an administration fee.

“Customers should also be aware that on Sunday 27 August, our Intercity and Connect services are also likely to be very busy due to engineering works on the East Coast Mainline.
