Key workers to receive 20% off train tickets thanks to new TransPennine Express partnership

A new partnership between Network Digital Marketing and rail operator, , will mean anyone working in the healthcare, education and charity sectors will receive 20% off their Advance Purchase tickets.

The discount is available across TPE’s services in the North of England and Scotland, and is valid on both First Class and Standard Class seating.

NHS workers can book through the Health Service Discounts website, carers via the Discount for Carers, teachers via the Dicount for Teaches and charity workers via the Charity Worker Discount website.

Darren Higgins, Commercial Director for TPE, said: “We’re thrilled to be able to help thousands of key works save money on the cost of their journeys with this new partnership with Network Digital Marketing.”

“The saving is delivered in partnership with Network Digital Marketing – a company that specialises in employee discounts and benefits – and is available on all TPE Advance Purchase tickets.”

  1. This is so Discriminatory this discount just shouldn’t be applied, I feel sure sure that many other workers could do with similar discounts, those on minimum wages, etc meanwhile those consultants, managers, sisters, ward managers are laughing

  2. The only problem I see with this is, that TPE are NOT very good at running a train service.
    They still don’t have enough drivers and those they do have Don’t like working.

  3. I disagree with this. Just because you work in particular jobs should not mean discounted travel. Everyone is find times difficult and everyone should pay similar fares.
