East Lancashire Railway is offering the chance to dine with a public transport legend!

The is to host an evening with the Chair of and the , Peter, Lord Hendy of Richmond Hill, which will see him discuss his life and work across the rail industry. The event will take place at the heritage railways Bury Transport Museum, which houses a fantastic array of the country’s transportation legacy.

Since the 1970s, Lord Hendy has been part of British transport and as the former Commissioner of will share his fascinating insight and stories of the industry after guests have enjoyed a delicious two-course meal and a glass of prosecco (full menu below).

Tickets for the event which starts at 7pm are £75 per person, the event is set to run until around 11pm. Tickets can be booked by visiting here.
