Greater Anglia Warn of Service Disruption due to Industrial Action

Greater Anglia passengers are advised to stay informed about their travel plans between Monday 3 July, and Saturday, 8 July, as the ASLEF trade union has called for action short of a strike during this period.

This will result in cancellations on numerous routes operated by Greater Anglia. A comprehensive list of the cancellations for Monday, 3 July, to Friday, 7 July, can be found below.

Details of Saturday, 8 July cancellations will be made available once they have been confirmed.

To avoid inconvenience, passengers are strongly encouraged to check their journey details before embarking on their trips between 3 July and 8 July.

Regular passenger assistance services will be provided as usual, and those requiring assistance are advised to plan their journeys and book assistance in advance whenever possible.

Additionally, the RMT trade union has scheduled three 24-hour strikes for Thursday, 20 July, Saturday, 22 July, and Saturday, 29 July. Information regarding the impact on train services during these strike days will be published as soon as it becomes available.

Jamie Burles, Greater Anglia managing director, said: “While the vast majority of services will be running as normal during the period affected by action short of a strike, there will be some cancellations across our network.

“We are sorry for any inconvenience caused by these service alterations and advise customers to plan ahead and check before they travel.

“The rail industry is working hard to resolve the current disputes and reach an agreement.”
