The Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway (GWR) is to host a book festival on Saturday 23 September.
The event will take place between 10am and 4pm in the Tim Mitchell Building at Winchcombe station. Old and new titles will be available, covering various interests, including railways.
Authors and resident writers will attend and sign copies of their books. Already confirmed are: Mary Lay, David Aldred, Neil Parkhouse, Humphrey Gillott, Stephen Done and Elizabeth Eyre.
Others who may appear the day at unspecified times are: John Cruxon, Nicolas Wheatley, David Capron, Elspeth Fewell and Bryan Nicholls.
Bookd readings for children to listen to will take place throughout the day.
Tickets and further details about the book festival are available from the GWSR website, with a 5% discount on all tickets purchased online.
Julia Harwood, Shop Manager, commented: “I’m extremely excited that we are hosting our first ever book festival at the GWR with resident and visiting authors. There will be something for everyone at the event, who loves railways whether they live locally to the railway or are visiting from further afield.”
