Arriva Rail London’s RMT members are being balloted from today for strike action.
The strike action is due to a “a collective grievance not being adequately dealt with and the employer refusing to follow the right procedures in the collective bargaining agreement with the union”.
The ballot is open today and will run until Tuesday 11th July.
RMT general secretary Mick Lynch said: “Revenue inspectors have had enough of Arriva Rail London not taking their concerns seriously and not respecting the collective bargaining process with RMT.
“Now they will decide whether they want to take strike action across London Overground.
“Management need to take their workers concerns seriously and they need to understand RMT will back its members every step of the way.”

My Lynch just likes the limelight, why not call a strike everyday, O forgot he does, everyone else works for a living he and his cronies are the lowest of the low.
Mr Lynch doesn’t care about the ordinary members of the public, just as long as he and his cronies are ok.
If London Overground staff want to strike then let them strike. Plus London Overground have allowed the Class 710/2 & Class 710/3 Aventras on the North London Line (Stratford-Richmond). I wonder if Alstom could continue on manufacturing more Class 710/3s to be used on the North London Line and to transfer some of the Class 378s to the East London Line and West London Line services. And Euston-Watford DC Line.
Why not? Why not have their go at inconveniencing and causing more uncertainty for the public and costing the taxpayers more and more money.Never mind the too Mick will look forward to being working class champions, even though most workers ( in private sector) cannot afford to strike.
