West Midlands Railway is urging its customer to check their travel plans due to upcoming industrial action by union , which will take place on Wednesday the 31st of May and Saturday the 3rd of June.

Because of the planned industrial action, no services will operate on the route.

Thursday the 1st of June will also see journeys affected by action short of strike by ASLEF and once again passengers are advised to check their travel plans.

Further to the planned industrial action by ASLEF, members of the union have also revealed that they intend to carry out strike action on Friday the 2nd of June which will see some routes offering a limited service for a period from 7am to 7pm whilst others will have no service at all.

Jonny Wiseman, WMR customer experience director, said: “It is disappointing that our passengers’ journeys continue to be impacted by industrial action.”

“Passengers will need to find alternate modes of transport on Wednesday 31 May and Saturday 3 June, as services will not operate on any route. Passengers will need to check their journeys on Thursday 1 June and Friday 2 June as services will be impacted as a result of industrial action.”

“Anyone holding a ticket for travel on a strike day can use their ticket on a different day or claim a full refund.”
