On Sunday 21 May, East Railway will reintroduce Saturday services that it previously cut on the Robin Hood line between and . The move is part of timetable change which will see two trains per hour on the line.

The following services will be reintroduced on a Saturday:

  • trains from Nottingham to Mansfield Woodhouse at 0800, 0859, 0959, 1059, 1200, 1259, 1359, 1459, 1559, 1659 and 1759
  • trains from 0841 Mansfield Woodhouse to Nottingham at 0841, 0941, 1041, 1141, 1241, 1341, 1441, 1541, 1641, 1741 and 1841

Will Rogers, Managing Director at East Midlands Railway, said:“I’m happy to confirm that as part of our May timetable change, we will be reintroducing some Saturday services on the Robin Hood Line.”This will enable us to run a two train per hour service on that day and better match the demand we are seeing on Saturdays as people travel between Mansfield Woodhouse and Nottingham.“It is great news for the communities of , as well as businesses up and down the line.“An hourly service will remain for Bulwell and Newstead passengers and these calls will continue to be accommodated in the Worksop services. The reintroduced services will therefore not call at Bulwell and Newstead.”
