Steam locomotive 45596 Bahamas to visit Devon this Saturday

LMS Jubilee No. 45596 Bahamas will be visiting Devon this Saturday (27th May 2023).

The South Devon Explorer will depart at 06:23 behind a diesel locomotive and will pass through (06:32), Reading (07:18), Newbury (07:52), Westbury (08:39) and Bristol Temple Meads at 09:33.

Here, 45596 Bahamas takes over the train and will pass through (10:59), Exeter St Davids (12:08), Warren (12:21), Totnes (12:55) and Plymouth at 13:24.

The return journey will depart Plymouth at 17:09 and will pass through Abbot (17:52), Exeter St Davids (18:17), and Tiverton Parkway at 19:10.

Just outside Taunton, 45596 Bahamas will be taken off the train and will be replaced by a diesel locomotive.

The diesel loco will return to Woking via the same outbound journey, passing through Westbury (20:47), Newbury (21:56), Newbury Racecourse (22:02), Reading (22:26), Guildford (23:08) and Woking at 23:36.
