The Steam Dreams Rail Company has announced that, in response to demand, it has made more spaces available in Premium Standard for its day trip to Oxford on Saturday 27 May.
The train will be hauled from London Paddington by the iconic 61306 Mayflower steam locomotive, on its first trip with Steam Dreams since last year. Prices start at £109 per person.
On the same day, passengers also have the option to book First Class or Pullman Style Dining on a nostalgic afternoon tour taking in the beautiful Warwickshire and Oxfordshire countryside. Prices start from £109.
On Saturday 10 June, Steam Dreams will return to Portsmouth for their popular South Coast Afternoon Tour. Additional First and Premium Standard class seats are now available for locals to join the train for a tour of the Hampshire countryside.
First Class guests will be welcomed onboard with a glass of sparkling wine and slice of Victoria Sponge cake in what Steam Dreams describes as “authentic carriages with a warm ambiance”. First Class prices start at£109 per person.
Premium Standard guests will be seated in a restored period carriage with large picture windows with excellent views.
Complimentary tea and coffee will be available, with a choice of refreshments available to purchase from the buffet bar. Guests are welcome to bring their own picnics on board. Premium Standard costs from £69 per person.
