LMS Black 5 No. 44871 and 45407 The Lancashire Fusilier have begun their Jacobite season, but prior to the popular train service running, the stock and locos had to run from Carnforth to Scotland.
The movement, with headcode 5Z49, was the 01:43 Carnforth Steamtown to Fort William‘s Tom Na Faire Depot.
Derek Penny has allowed us to share his video with you, which showcases the trip through some stunning scenery.
First up, we see BR Class 47 No. 47245 piloting the consist through Auchengray and Linlithgow, with the diesel leading the train from Carnforth to Craigendoran.
After a run around at Craigendoran, the Black 5s then take over control of the train, with 45407 piloting 44871 to Fort William.
Derek catches the train at Glen Falloch as well as County March Summit at Strath Fillan.
