The Cambrian Heritage Railway (CHR) is preparing to open for another season as an award winning railway.
On April 7th 2023, they will be opening for passenger services between Oswestry and Weston Wharf.
Both steam and diesel locomotives will be running these services along the two mile stretch.
At Oswestry Station, over the past few months, Cambrian Heritage Railway has been working to relay some track. The station has previously been closed in 1966, whereas now three railway lines now pass through to operate more services.
From April until September, trains will be running every weekend and on specified mid week and evening journeys. Passengers attending with lots of people can also book the entire train for the day.
More information about the recent work and the trains can be found at: www.CambrianRailways.com
Looking forward to the reopening, General Manager Andy Green said, ”We achieved a great deal in our first year of operation and this coming season we want to enhance the railway experience for passengers and increase the level of interest in our railway.
“During the Winter our volunteers have been hard at work developing our infrastructure. We have also taken the opportunity to improve our website to enable customers to see what we are all about and book with confidence. We are now looking forward to welcoming passengers back for a new running season.”

Jolly good luck to the award-winning Cambrian Heritage Railway out there, especially during the 2023 season in-between, I bet it’ll be quite a huge success for them during this very year.
