Next weekend, Sunday, 30th April and Monday, 1st May, the is holding a special Teddy Bear’s Picnic with free travel for children if they are holding a Teddy Bear.

The weekend is not only about Teddy Bear adventure, as there are additional activities, prizes that can be won, and impressive vintage steam engines on display.

Before each journey, station staff will hand out punch cards which can be used whilst exploring Stonehenge Works to try to find the pictures of six bears.

Next to each bear, there will be a different shaped punch which guests will use to punch their card. Everyone who manages to find all six bears, and has punched their cards accordingly, can claim a prize from the booking office when they return to Page’s Park,

As well as claiming a mystery prize, there is also the Engine Shed at Page’s Park, where the railway’s steam locomotives can be seen at rest, the Train Shed café, and a gift shop.

The Teddy Bears’ picnic promises to be a day that teddies won’t forget. Even better is that children who bring their teddies with them ride for free.

These free Children’s tickets can ONLY be purchased from the booking office on the day of the visit, and in order to claim a free Child’s ticket, each child must have a Teddy Bear with them.

Free children’s tickets CANNOT be booked online, and anyone intending to take advantage of the offer must ensure they only book an adult ticket. Unfortunately, if Children’s tickets have been booked and paid for online, they cannot be refunded by presenting a Teddy Bear on the day.

Train services for the weekend will follow the blue timetable, which means there will be a choice of five trains to ride each day, starting from 10:30. Guests should also remember to look out for the railway’s resident bears and their friends around Page’s Park station before their train departs.

This is just one of the special events that the railway holds throughout the year. A few weeks ago it held an Easter Fun weekend, while last year it welcomed Children’s TV characters Chase and Skye from PAW Patrol.
