The award-winning Cambrian Heritage Railways is set to stage its seventh annual Beer Festival From Friday, 2nd to Sunday, 4th, June.
Starting at Oswestry station, ale lovers can board Beer Festival specials for a journey along the line’s extension to Weston Wharf, where, aficionados can immerse themselves in the Beer Festival of the Cambrian. Each brewery will be bringing a selection of railway-themed beers to the festival, which will be served from within the recently restored Weston Wharf goods shed.
The three-day event will welcome leading local breweries that are located close to the former Cambrian line, including its near neighbour the award-winning Stonehouse Brewery.
At the festival, a token system will be in operation for purchasing beer. Tokens can be purchased from Oswestry station or one of the token stalls at Weston Wharf. Tokens cannot be pre-purchased and must be bought on the day.
Each token is worth ½ pint of the selected beer and can be bought singly, or if bought in bulk they come with a £2 discount. Token prices are £1 for a single token and £10 for six tokens.
