Cambrian Heritage Railways set to host a 2-day model show this July

The award-winning Cambrian Heritage Railway is hosting a model railway event in conjunction with Ellesmere Model Railway Society on Saturday the 15th and Sunday the 16th of July.

The railway which is based in North will see as many as seven model layouts set out in the and Weston Whart stations for what is set to be a very special and unique event.

The popular railway has been operating steam and diesel trains over its two-mile line which was formerly the Cambrian/GWR line between Oswestry and Weston Wharf and opened for the very first time in 50 years after it was abandoned.

Andy Green, Cambrian Heritage Railways General Manager, said:“We are excited to welcome back an model railway exhibition to our railway and we are confident model railway enthusiasts will come and enjoy some top quality layouts, modelmaking demonstrations and visit the very best local model traders.

“Of course, we will also be running the real thing with steam and diesel services operating between Oswestry and Weston Wharf together with entrance to our fascinating Museum with a wealth of Cambrian Railway memorabilia.“

The event will open at 10.30am on both days and run

The railway will be operating steam and diesel hauled services every weekend, specified mid-week days, evenings and Bank Holidays right through to the end of September.
