is inviting residents in and in north to find out more about the work it is carrying out to manage vegetation alongside the railway.

The work begins next month (May 2023) and will continue until February 2024. It aims to improve the safety and reliability of rail journeys by clearing trees and overgrown vegetation from railway land, and will involve cutting back or removing trees that pose a risk.

This will allow train drivers to see signals more clearly, and will reduce the danger of trees damaging overhead lines and passing trains.
