The RMT has released a short statement this evening to confirm that it has suspended all industrial action on Network Rail.
This news comes as a new offer has been sent to the RMT by the employer.
The strike action was due to be held in the ongoing dispute over pay and conditions.
Further updates are due to be shared on all aspects of the national rail dispute in the coming days.
An RMT Spokesperson said “The RMT National Executive Committee has taken the decision to suspend all industrial action on Network Rail following receipt of a new offer from the employer.
Further updates will be given on all aspects of the national rail dispute in the coming days.”
Responses
The RMT must now put the pay offer, for rail operation staff , to it’s members. The present offer, in respect
RMT Network Rail members, has been , “on the table” for a long time. Why are the union now “allowing” their NR members a ballot now.Could it be they were “,drifting” back to work?
There is now no justification for not allowing the train opererating members a ballot.
