With the February half-term just around the corner, why not enjoy family-friendly events at the East Lancashire railway with a host of favourites back for more fun including the always popular Peppa Pig and Friends Fun Day and a mystery-themed event which is suited to both younger and older detectives in the brand new mythical madness of Dragon Quest.
DRAGON QUEST:
Brand new for the heritage railway is Dragon Quest which will see families enjoy a magical journey to the Mythical Forest of Fantasy and become part of the legendary Dragon Camp. Dragon Quest is a mix of mystery, scavenger hunt and treasure trail with families set to have fun completing the magical missions and solving fantastical puzzles to become a mast of dragons. The event takes place at Bury Transport Museum and will see families get to meet mystical characters such as a pixie who has grown too tall and a wise old elf who doesn’t know anything as well as plenty of dragons.
Dragon Quest will take place on Wednesday the 22nd of February and is an interactive day out which is suited for all the family.
PEPPA PIG AND FRIENDS FUN DAY:
After 2022’s fantastic event, Peppa Pig and Friends Fun Day is returning to the East Lancashire Railway and will see Peppa and George enjoy a fun day including a meet and greet organised in intervals at Bury Transport Museum. The event will see families enjoy completing Peppa’s activity trail and also enjoy the fabulous fun fair, face painters, craft activities and meeting farmyard friends at the petting zoo.
Peppa Pig and Friends Fun Days will take place on Thursday the 23rd and the Friday 24th of February.
MALICE IN WONDERLAND:
Families can enjoy hunting for clues and discovering artefacts and characters in the Malice in Wonderland event. The event will take place at Bury Transport Museum and will see families try to find out exactly who stole the tarts. in a quest which takes place amongst the museum’s many exhibits and antiquities in order to complete crazy quests and discover the truth. There will be plenty of characters to meet during the adventure including the hatter who has riddles, a white rabbit late for an important date and of course, The Queen of Hearts who needs help with a curious game of chess.
Malice in Wonderland will take place on Tuesday the 21st of February
Please note that no trains will be operating at any of the events due to them being held exclusively at Bury Transport Museum.
