Children can visit Spa Valley Railway for just £1 this February half term!

The is running a fantastic offer for families this February half-term and sees children travel for only £1 when travelling with a fare-paying adult.

The special offer is ideal for families this half-term as Spa Valley Railway will be operating both steam and heritage diesel trains making for a fantastic and inspiring day to remember. Services operating as part of the special offer will run on:

  • Saturday the 11th of February
  • Sunday the 12th of February
  • Tuesday the 14th of February
  • Wednesday the 15th of February
  • Thursday the 16th of February
  • Saturday the 18th of February
  • Sunday the 19th of February

The railway offers a nostalgic look back into history and a steam journey through the stunning countryside from West to station is not to be missed and is an ideal activity for rainy days.

Sites to visit along the line include the well-loved spa town of Royal Tunbridge Wells which offers some wonderful walks over the beautiful common where you can see the fascinating Wellington rocks or a walk up the picturesque High Street or the historic Georgian Colonnade known as the Pantiles. The town has plenty to see and do with a good number of places to eat or grab some cake and a coffee!

The railways High Rocks station also features the High Rocks In as well as the High Rocks themselves (under 18s must be accompanied on the rocks). Please check the website for opening times for both the Rocks and the Inn before making a journey to visit.

The historic village of also features two fantastic pubs – The Junction Inn and the Crown Inn. Bike hire is also available at the station which is great for exploring Forest Way. Groombridge Place which was the location of Bennet House in the film Pride and Prejudice with Keira Knightly is also a great attraction to visit when open.

Eridge station also marks a great starting point for some wonderful walks as well as The Huntsman Pub for some tasty food. Wildwood Vineway is also nearby and provides wine tasting as part of a steam journey at certain times of the year which must be booked in advance.

  • Senior (60+) – £14
  • Child (2-15yrs) – £7.50
  • Family (2 adults + 2 children) – £38

Fares for one return trip with no break:

  • Adult – £10
  • Senior (60+) – £9
  • Child (2-15yrs) – £7.50
  • Family (2 adults + 2 children) – £20
