The Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railway‘s has announced that the boiler for NG No. 134 has arrived back in Dinas this month after being overhauled.
The Kalahari’s boiler has been away being overhauled at Locomotive Maintenance Services in Loughborough.
However, on Friday 13th January, 134’s boiler arrived at Dinas on the Welsh Highland Railway and was lowered back into the rolling chassis
Work will now continue in the coming months with the boiler and rolling chassis as part of 134’s return to steam.

Oh dear, the ruination of the WHR continues! They could have built a replica Moel Tryfan for the cost of rebuilding that thing!
When the FR got all that EU and Lottery money to rebuild the line I was hoping it would have some relationship with the old WHR rather than recreating the South African narrow gauge. The heritage of the line has been completely trashed.
Probably cheaper to run a Bulleid Pacific, no wonder they can only afford to run one train a day most of the year…
