The Bristol Group of the Ffestiniog Railway Society is holding a fund-raising sale of books, DVDs, and memorabilia next Saturday, 19th November, at Frome in Somerset.

The sale is being held at Frome Cricket Club in Rodden Road, Frome from 10am to 1pm, and all proceeds will go towards funding volunteer projects on the Ffestiniog Railway.

Both new and second-hand items will be on sale, and whilst the majority of items are railway-orientated, the selection covers many topics and will include a few rarities.

As well as the second-hand items, a publisher and dealer of new books and a DVD dealer will also be in attendance, alongside the second-hand tables of books and railway memorabilia. Christmas cards and calendars will also be on sale.

A highlight of the day will be the launch of a new Ffestiniog Railway-related ‘Bristol to Blaenau’, which marks 60 years since the Bristol Group of the Ffestiniog Railway Society was founded. The book, which is published by Mainline & Maritime, includes many photographs from the collections of the founder of the Bristol Group, the late Jim Fraser, and long-term member, the late John Ryan.

Admission to the sale is free, and there will be teas and coffees available.
