With Christmas just around the corner, the North Yorkshire Moors Railway has revealed that Santa and his team of elves will be heading back for its magical Santa Special services this year.

Tickets for the fabulously festive trips are available to buy now and will run on:

• Saturday the 3rd and Sunday the 4th of December
• Saturday the 10th and Sunday the 11th of December
• Saturday the 17th through to Saturday the 24th of December

The hour-long journey can be enjoyed from either Pickering or Grosmont Station and will see Father Christmas and his jolly friends pass through the heritage carriages and of course provide children with the chance to meet Santa, a special gift will also be given to all the children travelling onboard the Santa Special services.

Further to the Santa Specials, the North Yorkshire Moors Railway has also revealed its sumptuous menus for its popular Christmas Moorlands Lunches and Christmas Buffet. This extraordinary dining experience is running on select dates during December and will see a wondrous journey through the stunning North Yorkshire Moors National Park. The festive dining experience will depart from Grosmont station at midday and the Christmas Moorlands menu is served using a varied mix of heritage carriages which will all be festooned with decorations. The Christmas Buffet Lunch is available for private parties and can accommodate up to 18 guests chartering the luxurious Great Western Saloon carriage.

The Christmas Moorlander menu starts at £78 and the Christmas Buffet Lunch using the Great Western Saloon is priced at £1,450 with the opportunity to add a welcome drink and canape reception.

Brand new for Christmas 2022 at the North Yorkshire Moors Railway are a handful of Short Winter Breaks which are now available to book and include a three-night stay on the railways Camping Coach at Goathland Station, this also includes tickets for the Santa Special Services.
