Hull Trains are getting in the Christmas spirit as it sponsors this year’s performance of ‘A Christmas Carol’ at the theatre

A perfect production for Christmas, Charles Dicken’s classic festive tale ‘A Christmas Carol’ has been the most popular show over the last 10 years at the Hull Truck Theatre which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.

Hull Trains has once again continued its partnership with the theatre after its successful Peter Pan production in 2019 and the Railway Children in 2021. The partnership marks the rail operator’s ongoing bid to support the local community and also to bring the joy of theatre to more people this Christmas.

Hull-born Deaf actor Adam Bassett will be playing the role of Bob Crachit in the production and will communicate using British Sign Language as the production aims to see increased engagement with the Deaf community.

The production will be set in Hull in order to connect the real struggles of hard-working families with the happiness that the festive season brings with a focus on community and kindness defeating avarice and selfishness.
