A new family event ‘Down The Herriot Line’ will be held at the Wensleydale Railway this October.

Held in conjunction with PNP Events, the event, set to held on the 22nd and 23rd October, is an interactive performance based on the All Creatures Great and Small books, which are written by James Herriot.

Families will be able to take the train to Leyburn and back in the company of the Yorkshire Dales’ favourite vet.

A number of actors wil play out some of the cameos based on the books.

Trains will leave Leeming Bar at 10:30, 13:00 and 15:30 – with seats limited, pre-booking is advised to avoid disappointment.

A full round trip will take around 2 hours and refreshments will be available at Leeming Bar and Leyburn.
