More seats and more trains will be made available for football fans heading to Scotland’s Nations League match against the Republic of Ireland tomorrow, 24th September.
Kick off is at 19:45 and to keep everyone moving, ScotRail is adding more services to and from Mount Florida, which is the closest rail station to Hampden Park.
Queuing systems will be in place at Glasgow Central and Mount Florida, so passengers are being asked to be patient with staff.
Trains are expected to be busier than usual, so fans need to allow extra time when travelling to and from the match.
Phil Campbell, ScotRail Head of Customer Operations, said: “We’re really looking forward to helping fans get to this crucial Nations League qualifier against the Republic of Ireland.
“To keep everyone moving as quickly and safely as possible, we’re adding more seats to trains between Glasgow Central and Mount Florida.
“However, trains are expected to be busy, so we’re asking customers to plan their journeys in advance and buy their return tickets to Mount Florida before they board.
“Fans should also head back to the station as soon as they can after the final whistle to avoid leaving it until the last train of the night to get home.”
