RailAid is inviting members to turn a £2 Aldi voucher into a a fortune for the Railway Children charity.
The Tycoon Challenge is simple. You are given a £2 Aldi voucher and one month (1st October to 31st Ocotber)
Over the month, all you need to do is try and turn that £2 into as much money as you can.
As long as it is legitimate (and legal), the charity say you can use any method you like.
Some of the examples they have given is
- Buy a can of dog food and get people to sponsor you to eat it
- Buy ingredients and have a cake sale
- Sell shares in a scratch card
There are prizes available for those who make the most money as well as the most creative (or crazy) approach.

Jack Miller, Group Director of Fundraising for Railway Children said: “We know problem solving is often at the core of the rail industry, so we are excited to see how the industry responds to this challenge. The Tycoon Challenge is an opportunity for everyone to unleash their creativity and raise money for Rail Aid 2022. We want people to share their progress and inspire colleagues to get involved.”
