The has paid its final respects to Queen Elizabeth II at Tenterden Station on the day of the state funeral.

Members of the community visited the railway to watch the state funeral on a large screen in Tenterden Town’s tea room.

Steam locomotive Northiam was in steam in the station wearing a wreath.

Northiam was joined by a steam traction engine and both blew their whistles to mark the end of a two minute silence in tribute to the Monarch.

Robin Coombes, General Manager of the KESR, later laid a wreath from Northiam at the foot of the Tenterden War Memorial.
