Why no Sampford Courtney or Meldon Viaduct trains?
It’s no longer a Heritage Line, its now part of the full Railway Network, so the train no longer stops at Sampford Courtney. You do get an hourly service that links to the rest of the UK 7 days a week. Dartmoor Railway, the former heritage company ceased trading in 2019 and so there’s no longer any service to Meldon Viaduct. You can however hire a bike/e-bike or e-trike and cycle out to the viaduct when you arrive. Check out Granite Way Cycles at Okehampton Station.
