After completion of its overhaul and subsequent maintenance, LNER A4 No. 4498 (60007) Sir Nigel Gresley has returned to the North Yorkshire Moors Railway.

Its visit to the North Yorkshire Moors Railway is for the upcoming Annual Steam Gala, which runs from the 22nd to the 25th September.

60007 will join visitors 71356, from the Great Central Railway, and Taff Vale 85, from the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway, as well as the North Yorkshire Moors Railway home fleet for the event.

The A4 Pacific made the journey to the North Yorkshire Moors Railway from Locomotive Services Group in Crewe and passed through the likes of Preston, Keighley, Thirsk and Middlesbrough.

Additionally, the North Yorkshire Moors Railway has announced special journeys in October, tickets for both events can be booked through the North Yorkshire Moors Railway website.
