The East Lancashire Railway has announced its first guest for its Autumn Steam Gala in October 2022.
Visiting from the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway is L&Y Class 25 No. 52044, which lines up against a number of L&Y locos for the weekend.
52044 will join L&Y Pug No. 19, L&Y Saddletank No. 752, L&Y No. Class 27 No. 52322, LNWR Coal Tank No. 1054, GWR 5600 No. 5643, SR West Country No. 34092 ‘City of Wells’, BR Standard 4 No. 80097.
This will be the last planned running for 34092 City of Wells before it is taken out of service for overhaul.
Additionally, LNER A4 No. 60009 Union of South Africa will provide an additional attraction at the Bury Transport Museum.
Tickets are yet to go on sale but will be available via the ELR website.
