The installation of the signage has taken place at Wimbledon, Richmond and Woking stations in a bid to make train travel easier
The brand new wayfinding signage will help customers make their way both to and from trains more easily, with clearer and larger signage guiding passengers.
The project has been specifically designed to support and improve accessibility with large yellow signage marking accessible routes more effectively, such as to lifts. Green signage directs passengers to cycle storage facilities.
Wimbledon station entrances now also feature the symbol for South London’s tram network which has been added to the national rail and Underground logos in a bid to raise awareness of other transportation options available at the station.
Christian Neill, SWR’s Customer Experience Director, said:
“Here at SWR, we’re always looking for ways to make our network easier and more convenient for all of our customers to use.
“That’s why we’re delighted to have completed this upgrade at three of our flagship stations. These bigger and brighter signs will help customers – especially those who require accessible routes – to get to and from their train more easily”.
