Steam locomotive 46115 Scots Guardsman will be back in steam on the mainline and will be in Hellifield and Ribblehead on Sunday 7th August 2022.

46115 is hauling The Waverley on Sunday. The railtour departs with a diesel locomotive at 10:25 bound for Carlisle, where it will pass through Church Fenton (10:37), Leeds (10:53), Shipley (11:10), (11:20), (11:35) and Hellifield at 12:20.

Here, 46115 Scots Guardsman takes over the train. Departing at 12:54, the train will pass through Ribblehead (13:16), (13:40), (14:10), and Carlisle at 14:46.

After around 3 hours in Carlisle, Leander will depart Carlisle at 17:34 bound for Hellifield. It will pass through Lazonby & Kirkoswald (17:59) and will stop for water at Appleby (18:21).

Continuing down the Settle and Carlisle line, Leander will pass over the Ribblehead Viaduct at approx 19:14, continuing to Settle, the train comes off the Settle and Carlisle line at Settle Junction (19:27) where it heads for Hellifield, where it will arrive at 19:32.

The diesel takes over at Hellifield for the run to York, passing through Skipton (20:02), Keighley (20:15), Shipley (20:26), Leeds (20:48), and York at 21:20.
