The Severn Valley Railway‘s well-loved nighttime experience is back for 2022 and is bigger, better and more beautiful than ever before!

Steam in Lights returns to the Severn Valley Railway this November for a sensational sound and light extravaganza with an all-new theme for 2022. The stunning light displays, onboard music, and narration will provide a wonderfully immersive experience for passengers.

Bridgnorth station will host the grand entrance of the spectacular event as the fully festooned Steam in Lights train signals the start of a fabulous journey ‘around the world’ visiting an array of magical dioramas which can only be seen from the train.

Passengers will travel behind a steam engine to Hampton Loade with onboard music and a voiceover alongside individual sound systems concealed in every private compartment for an all-around immersive experience.

The return trip sees Severn Valley Railway provide a fabulously festive musical party onboard the train with glow sticks for every group.

For groups, tickets can be purchased as private compartments or reserved tables.

Lewis Maddox, Severn Valley Railway events manager said: “This year, we’re really upping the magical feeling of our Steam in Lights trains,”

“There’s a whole new theme to the experience, and we’re keeping the details under wraps because we don’t want to spoil the surprise! What we can guarantee is a journey across the globe, which you’ll only be able to see from the train, and it won’t just be on land either!”

The Steam in Lights services departs from Bridgnorth on selected dates from the 18th of November right through to the 23rd of December 2022.
