Bradford man earns nomination for National Rail Industry Award

Community work carried out by Richard Isaac across the East Midlands and has gained him a nomination for a national rail industry award.

The 54-year-old from works for in as a regional community and sustainability manager. Alongside his job and work with the National Citizen Service, he is also a forefront for the organisations’ work with schools, station adoption schemes and community groups.

He is now shortlisted in Outstanding Personal Contribution category and the awards. The National Rail Awards is a scheme that recognises individuals achievements across Britain.

The winner of Richards category will be revealed at the ceremony which is held in London on the 15th September.

Tony Baxter, regional director for Northern, said: “Richard embodies the Northern ethos ‘to make a positive impact for the North, in all we do and for all we serve’. He has also worked tirelessly to promote Northern as an employer of choice – arranging events which encourage women and the BAME community to consider a career in rail.”
