Steam is set to return this weekend, with the Railway Touring Company saying that their Royal Duchy tour is set to be ‘diesel assisted’ rather than diesel hauled.

Here, a diesel takes over. This will continue through Saltash (12:30), Liskeard (12:46), Bodmin Parkway (12:58) and Par at 13:12.

The diesel will haul the return journey back to Plymouth, departing Par at 16:05, the tour will pass through Bodmin Parkway (16:15), St Germans (16:36) and Plymouth at 17:00.
