Crewe-based has released a statement on the 2022 tour programme by .

Locomotive Services Group acquired the Steam Dreams Rail Co. last month as well as LNER B1 No. 61306 Mayflower.

Since then, LSG says that they have been reviewing the best way to integrate the busy Steam Dreams schedule into the LSG brand.

LSG has said that a short period of reduced operations will be in force from today, 1st July.

This is to allow the combined business to adjust to the change but does mean that the 2022 Royal Windsor Steam Express has been cancelled (as confirmed over on our Mainline Steam page), and also means that some of the Sunset Steam Express trips will be cancelled – the only Sunset Steam Express trips to operate for 2022 will be those on the 12th July, 26th July and 9th August.

The rest of the Steam Dreams programme is set to run as planned, as well as a full 2023 schedule.

A spokesperson for LS Group commented: ‘We have taken the difficult decision to withdraw some selected Steam Dreams operations over the next few weeks. Although this will be disappointing for Steam Dreams customers, we feel that it is vital to communicate such decisions as early as possible. A full programme of services will resume from 1 October 2022 and we are looking forward to launching our new and exciting Steam Dreams product from that date.”
